Backend Engineer (Scraping & Data)

• About the role:

Own the infrastructure that powers Reachly’s data layer — web scraping pipelines, lead enrichment, anti-bot evasion, and data reliability at scale. You’ll work directly with the CTO on systems that thousands of users depend on daily, and have real architectural ownership from day one.

• What we’re looking for:

MUST HAVE

1. 4+ years backend engineering experience (Node.js / TypeScript)

2. Deep experience with web scraping, crawling, and data pipelines

3. Familiarity with anti-bot detection and evasion techniques

4. Strong database skills — PostgreSQL, Redis, query optimization

5. Production-mindset: reliability, observability, performance

NICE TO HAVE

1. Experience with Puppeteer, Playwright, or browser automation

2. Knowledge of data enrichment or third-party data APIs

3. Contributions to open source scraping tooling

• Compensation & equity:

1. Base: $120,000–$155,000 USD

2. Equity: 0.1%–0.3% (4-year vest, 1-year cliff)

3. $2,000 home office budget (day one)

4. $1,000 annual learning budget

5. Full health, dental & vision (US) or equivalent stipend
